Our Flight and our First Night!

Well we started out good. Flight to Grand Rapids went well, actually really well with 2 woman trying to navigate the O'Hare airport, and we made it on time to our check-in. It all started with mom's water again! Just joking I asked her if she emptied it this time so she wouldn't have to go thru security twice and she looks and me with the face of pure terror and says, "where is my bag I put it in?" I proceed to role my eyes and huff a great sigh because of that dumb water! Well she had forgotten it where we took our picture at the Korean airlines ticket counter, and yes she did have to go thru security again! ha ha ha! But it was found and again we made it to the gate and got on the aircraft with no other problems. I believe we were only 1 of 3 white people on that plane, it was truely Korean Air! I would recomend that airline to anyone that has the chance to use it. Awesome service, pretty good leg room and better yet your own tv to watch!

Now when we got off we got thru customs and it was after that we both looked at each other and thought now what? We knew we where going to Suwon but how to get there? Do we take a train, a bus, a cab? We asked around and the general feeling we got from people was take the bus. So after much showing around of our reservation paper with the address they told us what bus to take, it took about an half hour wait for it to come. Now came the problem of when to get off, there were several stops and we came to the solution that because we were told it was the last stop that the driver made; where we were to get off we would wait until we were the last ones on than we would be the last stop, right?! Well it did work for all you laughing out loud, but now the problem came was where was our hotel? The bus driver didn't know so we are thinking we should have gotten a travel agent when our lovely driver did some calling around for us and found the hotel and arranged for them to pick us up from the last stop on the bus trip! Lovely driver, I could have kissed him! : ) So we made it safetly to the hotel but we needed dinner, plane did not serve that. The hotel told us of a couple of place around that we could easily walk to so we ended up at Kentucky Fried Chicken, and I know you scoffers but would you really indulge in the unkown late at night when you are so tired? So we had a lovely meal of fried chicken and made it back home for now to the hotel, we will have to let you know how that ends up. Tomorrow the plan is to visit the fortress wall of Suwon and a Folk Village and yes we will be taking a cab! Until tomorrow, mom B. and Jess
